Men’s Sports

Soccer

Every year, the Eagles soccer team’s story begins long before the first game. The Eagles begin training for the season at the beginning of August. Working as a team through three months of soccer games, they prepare each other and themselves for the state tournament near the end of October. The Eagles are fleet-footed and ready to win it all.

Basketball

The Eagles basketball teams have been ranked well in the state for many years. The amazing show of athletic skill the Eagles bring to the court every year draws many spectators. The teams work hard to perfect their performance in order to take the Illinois state tournament’s highest prize, the 1st place trophy.

Golf

The Eagles Golf team is a great way for EMCS students to experience the classic sport of golf. Each year, new team members realize that golf was not just swinging a club and that miniature golf is hardly related to the sport itself, The Eagles play 9-hole games against other schools, using the wind, weather, and natural landscape to their advantage. The golf team competes in the “Cow Cup Classic” in Galena, IL toward the end of the season.

Women’s Sports

Volleyball

The Lady Eagle’s varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams rank high in the state and deserve their places in the roster. Year after year, the Lady Eagles have won tournaments, state as well as invitational, and have consistently given their spectators an exciting display of athletics.

Basketball

The Lady Eagles basketball team goes beyond the standard for normal athletic teams. Their spectacular teamwork and swift execution of plays makes them an intimidating opponent on the court. The Lady Eagles host an invitational tournament every year, bringing teams from across the state of Illinois to EMCS for an exciting weekend of basketball.

Golf

The Eagles Golf team is a great opportunity to compete in a sport that is not as physically demanding but still presents a challenge. Team members play 9-hole games against other schools, using the wind, weather, and natural landscape to their advantage. The golf team competes in the “Cow Cup Classic” in Galena, IL toward the end of the season.

Elementary Sports

Basketball

The Elementary basketball program at EMCS was started in 2011. The program gives the elementary boys the opportunity to compete with other Christian schools in both exhibition games and tournaments. Also, they learn teamwork and beginning basketball skills early, preparing them for the Junior Varsity team and eventually the Varsity Eagles team.

Cheerleading

The Elementary cheerleading program was started at EMCS in 2011. Cheerleading teaches the elementary girls teamwork and coordination. They lead Eagles fans in encouraging cheers and make the spirit of the EMCS Eagles students come alive.
